Affirming and supportive doula services for queer + trans individuals and families during pregnancy, birth, postpartum, abortion, and/or pregnancy loss.
Although working with queer + trans folks are my specialty, I work with all people regardless of identity. My services are offered in-person in NYC/NJ or virtually anywhere.
A queer affirming experience.
Meet Liat, The Affirming Doula
pronounced lee-AHT (any pronouns)
I am a Full-Spectrum Doula certified through Birthing Advocacy Doula Training (BADT) specializing in Queer pregnancy, birth, postpartum, abortion, and bereavement. From planning HRT and gender-affirming reproductive care, to supporting and structuring birth plans for Queer and poly families, I advocate for my clients every step of the way. Your mental and physical health are my primary focus; I offer compassionate care tailored to your unique needs. I believe that being a part of your journey is an honor and a blessing; your well-being matters.
When Doulas say “it takes a village,” we mean that reproductive journeys can be all-consuming experiences and isolation is far from the answer. I believe in rebuilding a world where we support and learn from each other. As a Doula, I hope to help foster that community so that you are always supported beyond us working together.

Important things to note:
Reproductive care is not one size fits all and I’m here to support you through all scenarios. We can create a birth plan for a C-section, we can discuss chest-binding and chest-feeding, we can evaluate benefits and risks for “all the drugs,” VBAC, inductions, etc. Whatever you need, I will support you!
